Alcoa donated $15,000 to the Southwest Louisiana Alliance Foundation to be used for a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program that began this year at Sulphur High School’s 9^th Grade Campus.  

The Alliance Foundation received a check in the amount of $3,000 from MidSouth Bank to support its initiatives. 

The Alliance Foundation received a check in the amount of $5,000 from Union Pacific to support its initiatives.

Representative Paula Pellerin Davis (Republican, District 69) took top honors as the 2018 LegisGator of the Year at the Chamber SWLA’s 13th Annual LegisGator Awards Luncheon at L’Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles.  Over nine hundred Chamber SWLA members, colleagues, elected officials and visitors were in attendance to recognize Davis and dozens of state legislators honored for their commitment to the Chamber’s pro-business legislative agenda during the 2018 Legislative Session.
