Business Pitch Winners of 2022

The SEED Center hosted the 10th Annual Business Pitch competition. Winners in each division were awarded $5000 and in-kind counseling in accounting and marketing. 

“The Business Incubator Business Pitch Competition is a premier showcase for up-and-coming entrepreneurs.  The diversity of ideas on display clearly demonstrates that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and flourishing in Southwest Louisiana.  This year's competition is confirmation of that fact. The winners and finalists will now move forward to take advantage of the resources available to them in the Incubator on SWLA Alliance for Economic Development" Adrian Wallace, Executive Director, The SEED Center Business Incubator 

College: TAP’s Books & Cooks (Trinity Anderson)

“TAP’s Books & Cooks will be a combination of a bookstore, fast-food, and dine-in restaurant that gives Longville and Ragley, LA, something new.”


Technology: Snag A Tech (Scott Boudreaux)

“A field service IT app designed for customers to located technical support in rural and hard to cover areas as well as Metro areas using an app based escrow.”


General Business

1st Place: Legacy Made, LLC (Kelly Menou)

“Legacy Market is a revolving restaurant of vendors that are combined to complement each other, benefitting local business & the community of DeQuincy.”


2nd Place: Nate’s Express Oil & Lube (Nathanial Guillory, Jr.)

“Nate's Express Oil & Lube is an appointment based mobile on-site quick lube service company.”


“Sasol is dedicated to supporting and utilizing small, local, and diverse businesses that help us solve our most challenging problems, foster economic development and support local economies,” said Karla Edwards, Sasol human resources business partner and Business Pitch judge. “Our hope for the Business Pitch competition is that competitors are given the resources, feedback and guidance needed to excel in their business ventures and fuel the entrepreneurial energy and power in Southwest Louisiana.”

  • Jonald Walker – J. Walker & Company 

Timekeeping and tracking were overseen by Edwina Medearis of Medearis Costumes, Gifts & Balloons, and Tux Plus. 

The Event’s Title Sponsor was Sasol Lake Charles. 

The Event’s Presenting Sponsor was Capital One Bank.
