Leadership SWLA: Shaping the Future of Southwest Louisiana The future of Southwest Louisiana depends on the strength and dedication of its leaders. Recognizing the importance of cultivating informed, engaged individuals who are committed to the region’s progress, the Chamber SWLA and the SWLA Alliance Foundation host Leadership SWLA.
Each year, approximately 30 participants are selected to form a diverse class representing a broad cross-section of the community—including business, industry, education, government, the arts, civic and faith-based organizations, and more.
The program kicks off in January with a welcome mixer and an overnight retreat, followed by monthly, full-day sessions throughout the year. These sessions offer hands-on learning experiences led by influential leaders whose work directly impacts the region in areas such as economic development, workforce and business growth, education, infrastructure, coastal restoration, and public service.
Leadership SWLA is more than a program—it’s a launchpad for those ready to make a lasting difference in Southwest Louisiana.
